The Yulan Festival in Japan
       It is held between the seventh and eighth lunar months each year, similar to the "Yulan Festival" held on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month in some northern regions of China. Differently, Japan places greater emphasis on this festival, with government agencies, organizations, factories, and enterprises all taking a 3-day break and organizing sacrificial activities. Activities in the countryside are more lively, almost every household is no exception, and city dwellers also return to their hometowns to pay respects to their ancestors in cemeteries. People who are far away from their hometown can also come back to participate, while those who cannot often entrust others to pay their respects on their behalf.

Martyrs Day in Syria
       Syria has designated May 6th, the first day of summer, as Martyrs' Day, a statutory holiday established by the government and highly valued throughout the country. On this day, commemorative activities are held throughout the country, including laying wreaths at martyr monuments, sweeping tombs for martyrs, and offering condolences to their families.

Polish Day of the Dead
       Poland holds "Day of the Dead" every spring to mourn those who have passed away. On this day of the festival, people go to sweep graves, offer sacrifices to the spirit tombs, and light candles. Some people come with their families, especially to bring their children. The elderly light candles for the children to offer, as a way to commemorate the past and educate future generations not to forget their ancestors.

Tanzania Day of Lament
       To mourn the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country, September 2nd is designated as the "Day of Lament" every year. On this day, people go to the cemetery to lay flowers and sweep the graves. National leaders also participated in tomb sweeping activities at the cemetery and laid wreaths at the Independence Square Monument to express their condolences to the martyrs.

Mexican Tomb Sweeping Festival
      November 2nd is Mexico's Tomb Sweeping Day, where families sweep the graves of the deceased. When going, prepare special "deceased bread", skull shaped candy blocks, and food and alcohol loved by deceased loved ones as sacrificial offerings. After the ceremony, the whole family spread cloth in front of the tomb, sat on the ground, lit candles, ate and drank, sang and danced as a guardian, and stayed up all night. But the time for tomb sweeping varies in different regions, some areas during the day and some at night.

French All Souls Festival
       November 1st every year is known as the All Souls Day in France. On this day, people rushed to the cemetery to pay tribute to their deceased and offer chrysanthemums. The Paris Commune Monument and more than ten anti fascist monuments, located not far from the Paris Cemetery, had the most visitors and the most flowers offered.
